Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rekroot platform ("Service"), operated by QBS Global FZCO, a company registered in IFZA Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Company", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@rekroot.ae if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Service Description

Rekroot is an AI-powered recruitment platform that enables employers to post job listings, receive candidate applications, and use artificial intelligence to screen and rank resumes against job requirements. The Service includes a hosted career page, candidate management pipeline, and email notification system.

5. Subscription & Billing

Rekroot offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

(a) Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) Upload content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights; (c) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; (d) Use the Service to send unsolicited communications to candidates; (e) Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (f) Use the AI screening features to discriminate based on protected characteristics including race, gender, age, religion, nationality, disability, or any other category protected under UAE labor law or applicable international law.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and AI models, is owned by QBS Global FZCO. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property. You retain ownership of content you upload (job descriptions, company information).

8. Candidate Data Responsibility

As an employer using Rekroot, you are the data controller for candidate personal data collected through your career page. You are responsible for ensuring your use of candidate data complies with applicable data protection laws, including UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Rekroot acts as a data processor on your behalf.

9. AI Screening Disclaimer

Rekroot's AI resume screening is a decision-support tool. AI scores are recommendations, not final hiring decisions. You are solely responsible for all hiring decisions and must ensure compliance with anti-discrimination and employment laws. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated scores or job descriptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QBS Global FZCO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@rekroot.ae. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through the courts of Dubai, UAE.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
